10 października (środa) w Warszawie odbędzie się pokaz produktów firm Avid, Digidesign, Softimage, Pinnacle i M-Audio. Goście spotkania będą mogli zapoznać się m.in. z technologiami stosowanymi w postprodukcji wideo i realizacji transmisji telewizyjnych.

Z programami do generowania fraktalowych krajobrazów spotkałem się dawno temu, jeszcze za czasów użytkowania Amigi 500 wyposażonej w 1MB pamięci RAM. Praca na aplikacji o nazwie Scenery Animator dostarczała mi niezapomnianych wrażeń. Można do nich było zaliczyć także czas generowania obrazu, który w zależności od skomplikowania i rozdzielczości sceny, mógł trwać od kilkunastu minut do kilkunastu godzin. Często zdarzało się tak, że celem przeliczenia danej sceny zostawiało się na noc włączony komputer, a nad ranem odkrywało się jedynie komunikat "out of memory". Nie ukrywam, że nieco mnie to zniechęciło do dalszej eksploracji tego fascynującego tematu i zgodnie z hiszpańskim powiedzeniem "maniana", studiowanie go odłożyłem do nieokreślonej przyszłości.
